Scott Flory, President
After utilities were deregulated in Western Canada, Scott pioneered the energy broker business model and continues to lead the industry in representing consumer interests. He works closely with his clients to make sure they understand their options and the energy market while maintaining positive relationships with all key energy retailers. Since co-founding the company in 2003, he has built a reputation among both consumers and energy retailers for high integrity dealing that is unsurpassed.
Scott is known for his keen business sense and his ability to identify and remove obstacles that may pose a challenge for USI's clients. He is a highly skilled deal maker, having spent over 20 years negotiating office leases, billboard contracts, equipment leases, satellite and cable TV access agreements, and hundreds of commercial energy contracts. Scott graduated from the University of Alberta in 1992 with a degree in Urban Geography. Terry Dorward, CFA, Senior Energy Analyst
Mr. Dorward is a Chartered Financial Analyst with over 20 years of experience in the Canadian energy sector. Terry has performed a variety of professional analytical and operational roles in the areas of natural gas trading, energy commodity operations, and strategic planning for several of Canada's largest energy producers such as Suncor Energy and Anderson Exploration. Terry has also conducted institutional equity research and energy commodity research for several global and boutique Canadian institutional equity research firms including Merrill Lynch and CIBC World Markets. Terry was also a co-founder of Utility Source Inc. and helped develop the company's innovative client-centric business model for the efficient and cost effective procurement of energy utilities.
He graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Business at the University of Alberta specializing in finance and has since attained the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) though the CFA Institute. Logan Bourns, Energy AnalystLogan joined Utility Source Inc. in July 2015 to assist with the growing demands on our analytics group. Drawing from his previous analytical experience in the energy industry, Logan manages the day to day tender process, assists with the creation of budgets and provides our team with innovative ideas to better serve the needs of our clients.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Management Degree with distinction from the University of Lethbridge majoring in finance and minoring in international management. In addition to his degree, Logan has successfully completed the CFA Level 1 Exam. Mike Robinson, Account ManagerHaving fostered strong relationships with both suppliers and consumers, Mike brings over 25 years of varied industry experience to the table when working with Utility Source customers.
Mike received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary in 1984. That year he began working with TransCanada Pipelines and held positions in reservoir engineering, risk analysis, pipeline transportation and natural gas marketing. |
